Make lithium your future.THE OPPORTUNITY:Reporting to theDrill and Blast Supervisor the Blast Technician is responsible for Checking the quality of drilling services provided and assisting Shotfirers to deliver quality blasting to the open pit mining teams.This is a permanent position, with a 8:6 roster schedule based at our Pilgangoora Operation.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist shotfirers in on bench activities, Blasthole QA/QC, Delineate, Priming, Loading, Stemming, off-siding MMUs and tie-in as directed.Check drilling activities are completed correctly and identify issues of poor-quality drilling early to ensure redrills are completed.Perform blast guard duties just prior to blasting activity to ensure the safety of all personnel, and that they are removed from the area.Ensure Blast IQ is utilised to minimise delay in blasting and maintaining quality records.Maintain occupational health and safety standards relevant to operations.Ensure occupational health and safety issues are considered in all aspects of duties performed.Maintain high standards of performance and adopt a proactive approach to occupational health and safety issues.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies and practices.Report all observed safety incidents and hazards.Complete Take-5s before starting each task or midway through a task if conditions change.Perform all tasks in a professional and diligent manner and always treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.Maintain good working relationships with superiors, peers and all internal as well as external clients, such as contractors, suppliers and service providers.Ensure all office activities are carried out in compliance with set Standards.ABOUT YOU:Dangerous Goods Security Card.Current Drivers License.WHAT WE OFFERNew monthly cash bonus based on lithium pricing, PLUSAnnual incentive based on company performance, paid in cash or cash/share combinationGreat accommodation and recreational facilitiesPaid Community LeaveTake a front row seat in the sustainable energy transformation!WHAT WE STAND FORGreat peopleSafety mattersQuality productsMaking a difference in the worldPROMOTING DIVERSITYPilbara Minerals recognises that talented people come from diverse backgrounds, who can contribute to our successes in different ways.
