Part-Time Position (Minimum 24 hours) Subject to Business Needs, including Weekends General Daily Tasks and Responsibilities: Retrieve carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 carts together. Keep lot area free of debris and sweep in front of the building. Ensure trolleys are available at the front of the building for members to use. Greet members, assist them, answer questions, provide information on special promotions, thank members, and deliver prompt, courteous service. Check packaging for tampering and follow all safety and security procedures. Run errands for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly. Follow proper departmental procedures for performing duties. Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area, clean spills and trip hazards immediately. Perform related tasks such as setup and closing duties, including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking, and cleaning the area. Assist members with loading orders onto conveyor belts, determine packing preferences, answer questions, and provide information on promotions. Pack member orders into boxes, load onto carts or flatbeds, check for tampering, and assist members with loading orders into their cars when appropriate. Run errands for items needed by cashiers, transfer items not on the belt to separate carts, and follow departmental procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the register and front-end areas, cleaning spills and hazards immediately. Perform setup and closing duties, including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning areas. Must be 18 years of age or older. Non-Essential Functions and Tasks: Assist other department areas as necessary, including membership and maintenance departments. Provide assistance in other warehouse departments as needed.
