With knowledge and experience, we encourage you to make a difference! About The Opportunity We are seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join the Tamar team. Reporting and providing support to the Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to carry out all breakdowns and preventative maintenance activities across a continuous production process and all other maintenance-related operational duties, including servicing and repairing processing, packaging, cooling, and heating systems on site across the entire manufacturing process. This is a permanent position that involves shift work. Main Responsibilities: Carrying out Preventative Maintenance programs for processing, packaging, cooling, and heating systems to ensure efficient services to the site; Responding to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime; Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions; Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes; General maintenance within a factory environment, including filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, and refrigeration systems; and Participating in continuous improvement activities. Minimum Requirements: A relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter; Experience in an FMCG packaging environment preferred; A continuous improvement mindset; Strong troubleshooting skills; Effective interpersonal communication skills and a positive ''Can-Do'' attitude; Ability to build rapport with team members.
