This position reports to the Coordinator Customer Experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and delivery of our messaging through a variety of publications and materials including written, digital and social media.An ideal candidate will assist in raising public awareness of the facilities to the broader community, and encourage visitation, participation, and hiring of facilities.Position purpose:Assist Coordinator Customer Experience with the day-to-day running of Key Venue''s media, public relations, promotions, and communicationsAssist with the development, coordination, and delivery of messaging through key publications, advertising, newsletters, and communications materials including written, social and digital mediaAssist in raising public awareness of the facilities to the wider community to encourage casual visitation, return visitation, regular bookings participation in programs and activities and the generation of special event hireLiaise with Council''s Public Relations section to ensure consistency of messagePreparation of media releases, newsletters, articles, speeches, promotional material, and digital/social media postsPreparation and coordination of Blacktown Venue Management (BVM) advertising requirementsLiaise with local and metropolitan media groupsAssist with promotion of Key Venues eventsIn conjunction with the Coordinator Customer Experience, develop BVM communication and promotional strategies and devise implementation plansThe development of promotional aids to encourage the growth of the BVM businessEnsure a high-quality environment by complying with established promotional standards and requirementsMaintaining effective customer relationships with local media to ensure opportunities for program development and promotion of services that meet individual and group needsPreparation of media releases, newsletters, articles, speeches, promotional material, and digital mediaEnsure the section operates successfully and in accordance with meeting the goals and objectives for BVMAssist in generating awareness of Key VenuesEnsure a high-quality environment by complying with established promotional standards and requirements.Qualifications and experienceA relevant tertiary qualificationSuitable experience in a similar capacity and/or environmentCurrent class C driver''s licence.Remuneration and benefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement.Entry level for this position starts at $1,361.20 per weekRostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnightEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to your nominated Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.Our commitmentto safetyBlacktown City Council is committed to safety.
