Add expected salary to your profile for insights.We have been engaged by a well-respected Transport Provider in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne to look for an experienced Operations Manager to run their Transport Operation.The role is to lead, train, and inspire the Last Mile Delivery transport team.We are looking for someone extremely solid in process improvement, leadership, and operational KPI management whilst being focused on safety.A strong knowledge of transport operations is needed for this position, and the passion to get the very best out of the team you lead! Express Transport / Last Mile Delivery experience would be beneficial.The responsibilities of your role may include:Running the operations for the site, including drivers & loading teams.Reviewing the current operation process including truck loading and offering improvements.Providing a detailed list of areas where improvements are needed.Reviewing individual team members'' performance.Developing / setting advancement goals for the team.Reviewing drivers and their performance.Reviewing team member costs what is currently in place and if it is required.Improved record keeping & incident reporting.Conducting safety meetings.Ensuring compliance to critical processes for both fleet and processing.Driver process compliance.Identifying, mentoring, and developing lower-level leaders.To be successful in this position, you will have:Proven experience in road transport, including leadership roles (Express transport is a bonus).Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to lead from the front.A passion for safety.On offer is a strong salary package and the chance to join an excellent senior leadership team.If this extremely exciting opportunity interests you, please submit your application now!How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to gain insights.Researching careers?
