Job Description

We are regularly tendering for works in Brisbane &/or Greater QLD and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Civil Engineers / Contract Administrator Representatives interested in joining us. Candidates should be capable of committing to assignments lasting 1-2 years for contract administration of construction works on Road Upgrade Programs, with potential for ongoing extensions and other projects. The roles will involve managing major transport infrastructure construction contracts, ensuring completion to quality standards within budget and schedule. Responsibilities: Perform the role of Administrator''s Rep or Principal''s Representative Agent in contract administration and surveillance, following Standards, Contract Procedures, and General Conditions of Contract. Contribute to all phases of contract administration, focusing on quality, safety, and environmental issues; develop and document quality management procedures to ensure high-standard project delivery. Coordinate with project, technical, and operational staff, external service authorities, community groups, other agencies, and local government authorities affected by the works. Manage all phases of contract administration for road and transport infrastructure projects, ensuring standards are met and contributing to quality management documentation. Lead and supervise engineers, technical staff, and external advisors, monitoring technical aspects and ensuring standards are maintained. Provide reports and briefing notes on project status, expenditure, road network conditions, and incidents. May be required to act as Project Manager as needed. Mandatory Experience: Experience in contract administration for road and transport infrastructure, including earthworks, drainage, electrical, ITS, landscape, pavements, bridges, and retaining walls. Strong consultation, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills. Proven ability to manage and supervise projects according to TMR policies, standards, and specifications. Desirable Experience: Experience with AS2124-style contracts such as TIC-CO, RCC, AS4300 Design and Construct, relational contracts, CPA, or Alliance models. Mandatory Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognized by Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust). Registration as a RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland). Preferred candidates will already be ''Pre-Qualified'' with TMR as SEC01, CA01, CA02 (B13), or meet the criteria to apply. A Class C driver''s license and a current Construction Industry Induction White or Blue card are required. The role is primarily office-based in Brisbane and/or Greater QLD, with site attendance as needed. Typical hours are 40 per week, with potential for additional hours depending on project demands.
