Role: Production Planner The Production Planner will collaborate with various departments to develop and execute integrated sales and operations plans, ensuring efficient resource utilization, accurate demand forecasting, and timely product delivery. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, coordinating production schedules, and aligning strategic objectives to optimize the balance between supply and demand within the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast customer demand, considering historical data, market trends, and other factors. Production Planning: Develop and maintain integrated production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, capacities, and inventory targets. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with sales, production, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment in the supply chain. Resource Allocation: Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production and sales targets efficiently. Data Analysis: Analyze production data and market trends to inform decisions and support continuous improvement initiatives. Communication: Clearly communicate S&OP plans, changes, and performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels. Continuous Improvement: Participate in and suggest enhancements to planning processes and workflows. Technology Utilization: Use planning tools, ERP systems, and other technology to improve accuracy and efficiency. Customer Collaboration: Work with sales to align production with sales strategies and customer demand. Adaptability: Adjust plans according to market conditions, production requirements, and business priorities. Design Data Management: Support management of design data, specifications, and BOMs to ensure accurate information for prototypes and production. Experience Experience in sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, or related roles in manufacturing.
