EF International Language Campuses in Perth is seeking a dynamic and qualified Director of Studies to manage our Academic Department. The Role: You will oversee the Academic Department by leading from the front and implementing the planned course programs. You will have overall responsibility for academic management, quality, training, and the development of the academic team. As we operate in a fast-paced environment, we seek a self-starter who can leverage their previous knowledge and experience to support the school''s ongoing growth and development. Duties include but are not limited to: Providing overall leadership and management of the entire Academic Department, Leading by example passionate about teaching and prepared to teach as required, Setting the direction for the Academic Department responsible for academic planning, objective setting, and supporting staff in achieving their goals, Developing new academic content and leading professional development sessions for teachers, Line managing the Academic team, including Senior Teachers, Contract Teachers, and interns, Timetabling students, teachers, courses, and classrooms to meet student needs and course objectives, Corresponding with EF Sales Offices in over 50 countries worldwide, Ensuring compliance with all school accreditation standards and EF policies, Managing the academic budget for training and materials, Working towards school-wide KPIs and student satisfaction targets, Ensuring quality assurance across all academic activities, including recruitment, curriculum effectiveness, and learner outcomes, Liaising with the wider school team on student events and connecting the academic team with the broader school community, Participating in the emergency on-call rota as part of the school management team. Qualifications and competencies: Masters degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field, or DELTA certification, Experience teaching English as a foreign language to international students is essential, Experience in academic management is preferred, Experience teaching at an international language school, Attention to detail, organization, thoroughness, and ability to work under pressure to deadlines. Highly motivated, energetic, and positive individuals will excel in this role. A flexible approach to work hours, a friendly and approachable manner, and sensitivity to the needs of international students are key. Ability to work independently is also important.
