Acting Clinical Director for Pain Management (BWPMC)Add expected salary to your profile for insightsExcellent benefits including salary packagingSenior leadership opportunityPart Time (24 hours per week), Fixed Term position (1 Sept 2025 - 28 Nov 2025)About the RoleThe Clinical Director provides specialist care and clinical leadership for staff at the BWCPM and is directly responsible for the BWCPM Medical workforce. The Clinical Director works collaboratively with the HIP Manager/s and the Pain Stream Manager to ensure the delivery of a high quality, multi-disciplinary state-wide pain service. This is a senior medical position and carries with it the professional responsibilities of clinical leadership, teaching and training, as well as administrative requirements.Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care in line with best practices.Advocate for an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring integrated and holistic treatment strategies.Support and promote a patient-centred approach to care and communication.Provide professional supervision and leadership of all medical staff at BWCPM to ensure a high standard of medical care, including inpatient wards and theatre.Review medical and/or complex clinical incidents or complaints in collaboration with the Pain Stream Manager, in accordance with SVHM policies. The team includes Pain Medicine Physicians, trainees, Psychiatrists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and other allied health professionals, working together to address medical, physical, and psycho-social factors contributing to pain and disability. The service caters to diverse clients from across Victoria, including complex cases, offering individual and group treatments.
