This role involves researching new business opportunities, analyzing ROI, and developing plans to expand market presence. The ideal candidate will cultivate strong relationships with state agency representatives to understand their needs and align them with our technology solutions. We celebrate these differences and thrive on them for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and research new business opportunities with state motor vehicle agencies across the U.S.Develop and execute strategic growth plans aligned with the companys objectives and market trends.Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within state agencies and the stakeholders who they serve.Conduct ROI analyses and cost-benefit evaluations for new and existing opportunities.Collaborate with internal team members to ensure alignment on client needs and contract deliverables.Deliver compelling pitch presentations and represent the company in public speaking engagements, meetings, and industry forums.Monitor the competitive landscape affecting state motor vehicle operations.Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and provide regular reports on business development activities and progress.Support contract negotiations and help ensure successful handoff to implementation and account management teams.Domestic Travel 25-40%SkillsBachelors degree in Business, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.5+ years of experience in technology sales, ideally within or adjacent to the automotive retail, insurance industry or related industries.Proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships or enterprise sales; experience with government contracting or procurement is a plus.Deep understanding of complex procurement strategies, including RFP/RFI processes and high-impact contract negotiations.Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.Proven ability to conduct ROI and cost-benefit analyses for complex solutions or services.Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.Ability to travel frequently to meet with agency representatives, attend industry events, and support business development efforts.Self-starter with a strategic mindset and strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.What We OfferOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. base pay range for this position is $160,000 -- $185,000 annually + commission. This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon individual performance. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
