About Us Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) offers a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for acute mental health issues, including PECC, the Acute Mental Health Unit, and others. Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYF-MH) offers assessment, psychoeducation, clinical support, and specialist treatment, working collaboratively with families to provide trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care. The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician is a key member of the Safeguards interdisciplinary team, working clinically with families and ensuring cultural considerations are integrated into mental health care. The role reports to the Safeguards Clinical Lead and is supported culturally by the Aboriginal Mental Health Manager and the Namurugunya Aboriginal mental health team. Responsibilities include applying clinical expertise to plan, coordinate, and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed assessments and treatments for children, adolescents, and their families.
