This is where you come in.As our client base continues to grow, we are expanding our team and require a talented Associate Solicitor at our Newcastle office with at least 3 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to help meet the demand.About The RoleYou will join our Commercial Litigation team includes 3 Accredited Specialists one of the most highly regarded in NSW. Your role will cover a variety of general commercial litigation matters with a focus on commercial and residential building disputesAt Roberts Crosbie Mortensen Lawyers, we tackle complex legal matters. You will have the opportunity to manage matters and clients autonomously with strategic direction and mentorship from a Partner and Special Counsel who are both Accredited Specialists. Our Associate Solicitors have weekly matter reviews and quarterly goal setting and review meetings to ensure they have the support they need to develop their skills and align with our standards.We are focused on continuous improvement and having the right tools and processes in place to ensure our solicitors are focused on high value work. You should be:a driven legal practitioner with at least 3 years of PAE, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to manage your own caseload;experienced in civil procedure, including drafting pleadings, affidavits and other court documents and experience appearing as an advocate in various Courts and Tribunals in NSW;experienced in commercial and home building disputes including Security of Payment Claims, Adjudication Applications, and NCAT proceedings;passionate about further developing your expertise in this sought-after area of practice;adept at legal research, drafting legal documents and advices, and managing case files with attention to detail and accuracy;proactive in your approach to legal practice with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for clients and helping improve and protect business clients from future legal problems;an efficient and productive worker capable of meeting billing targets;able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and maintain a high-level of attention to detail, and;confident building and maintaining positive client and team relationships and interested in developing your own network of referrers.We value diverse backgrounds and will consider experience in the building and construction industry alongside PAE.What We OfferAt Roberts Crosbie Mortensen Lawyers, we value our people and their contributions.
