The Role Reporting to the Director, Child Protection Policy and Legislation, the Manager, Child Protection Legal Policy will lead a team providing strategic legal policy advice on the statutory Child Protection system and its reform. The responsibilities include: Providing expert policy and strategic advice on the Child Protection system to senior leadership and government ministers. Offering legal policy and legislative advice, particularly regarding reforms to the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005. Applicants should demonstrate leadership, people management skills, and a collaborative approach. Accountabilities Providing specialist policy and strategic advice on the Child Protection system. Offering legal policy advice concerning the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and related legal frameworks. Advising on emerging issues and high-priority policy matters in collaboration with colleagues and sector partners. Please read the full position description for more details.
