3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Tight-knit team, equipment manufacturing industry experienceNegotiable salary commensurate with capabilities and experience, inquire withinFree on-site parking, full time office role, flexible with personal appointmentsAn Australian family-owned manufacturing company (circa 50+ years established) are looking for a group management accountant to assist with managing the day-to-day accounting and financial systems of the business in their Bibra Lake location.Reporting to the CFO based in the eastern states, the core purpose of the role includes:Manage the day-to-day accounting and financial systemsWorking with your small but capable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial informationDevelop financial and management reports to enable appropriate analysis of business performanceAssist in the preparation of information to enable timely preparation of yearly financial and taxation reportsProvide guidance concerning cashflow commitmentsProvide and implement financial improvementsProvide support to CFO on projects as directedDay-to-day matters will span:Manage ERP Systems in conjunction with Service Providers, and internal resourcesPrepare monthly financial/management reporting including commentary within required time framePrepare monthly consolidated accountsGeneral ledger reconciliations and recommendationsInput into ERP systems and review of costingsReconciliation of inventory accounts and accurate reporting for valuationParticipate as needed with costing of productAssist with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts including variance analysisCash flow managementPerform in depth financial modelling for presentation to management for decision makingStatutory compliance - GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Work Cover, etc.Year-end statutory accounting including taxation return and liaison with external accountantsLiaison with internal stakeholders to ensure validity of financial dataReview processes and internal controls to ensure safety of accountsManagement of commercial risk - insurances etc.Provide leadership and direction for the Accounting / Finance of the business in support of CFOAbout you:The client will ideally engage an experienced Group/Management Accountant, with demonstrated experience in the equipment manufacturing industry.Current member- CPA or CAIdeally Sage ERP experienceDemonstrated experience managing end to end accounting functionsStrong reconciliation skillsAbility to implement policies and procedures to support data validityEnsure strong transparency and audit trail of all worksExperience in analysis and interpretation of dataFull Australian Working RightsThe client is significantly motivated to engage the right person and will negotiate a salary based on experience and capabilities.Interested?For a confidential conversation, please contact Alexander Christian on 08 9220 4625 or hit apply.If the above is in the right wheelhouse but not quite what you''re after at this time, feel free to drop me a line anyway - we can have a confidential discussion about what good would look like for you and I can keep you informed as and when that right thing does arise.
