We are a friendly department of 32 dietitians, supported by dietetic support workers, Special Feed Unit staff and an administrative team.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, pro-active specialist paediatric dietitian to join our inherited metabolic disease team. This role will provide a tertiary a nd secondary level service throughout the South West for children with inherited metabolic diseases and will also be the dietetic lead for the national NHS Specialised Service for Barth syndrome.Main duties of the jobTo apply for this post, you will ideally have clinical paediatric experience in at least one specialist area alongside leadership skills to ensure high standards of clinical care and knowledge. Excellent multidisciplinary networks are active within the clinical specialty.We have advertised this as a full time 12-month fixed term maternity leave post at band 7 level, but will consider a suitably experienced AfC band 6 paediatric dietitian.Our department is committed to student training, quality improvement, research and audit. All staff are supported with regular meetings with their supervisor.
