YWCA Canberra is a trusted registered community housing provider, with more than 60 years of experience in property management, transitional housing, affordable housing, and supportive tenancy services.We manage and lease privately owned investment properties in the ACT at below 75% market rate, providing affordable housing to people who are struggling to maintain tenancies in the mainstream market.About The RoleThe Rentwell Property Manager is responsible for tenancy and property management within YWCA Canberras not-for-profit affordable rental service, operating within regulatory and compliance frameworks including The National Regulatory Framework for Community Housing, the Residential Tenancies Act (1997), and the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal.The Property Manager will provide exceptional client and relationship-focused property management services to all stakeholders, including property owners and tenants.ResponsibilitiesThey will work from a strengths-based, gender- and trauma-informed practice framework, managing a caseload that includes:Identification of potential eligible propertiesAssessing property owner eligibility for the service (including potential land tax exemptions)Conducting property inspectionsMarketing of propertiesManaging repairs and maintenanceIdentifying tenantsAssessing tenant eligibility for affordable housing according to regulated income levelsManaging arrearsAdministration and data entryRegular communication with property owners and tenantsProcessing invoices and payments to suppliers and ownersCollaborating with government agencies on special projects as requiredAbout YouYou are a proactive and ethical professional with excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills. You bring strong financial management capabilities and a strategic mindset, supported by experience in property management systems, Microsoft Office, and data reporting. Committed to teamwork, reflective practice, and continuous improvement, you demonstrate sound judgment, professional integrity, and effective workload prioritization.
