By providing strategic cybersecurity insights and risk reporting to executive leadership and governance committees, including education, simulation exercises, and escalation of critical incidents, you will enhance decision-making and incident response. You will lead and manage cybersecurity teams across governance, identity and access management, and security operations to deliver high-quality, secure IT services.Additionally, you will oversee relationships with external cybersecurity vendors and partners, ensuring effective delivery of services and alignment with strategic objectives. Promoting cybersecurity awareness and education across the university community, you will ensure compliance with policies and frameworks while fostering a culture of security and resilience.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLEYou will hold recognised qualifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, Security+, CEH, GSEC, or SSCP. Your demonstrated ability to lead IT teams and third-party subject matter experts to deliver requirements and outcomes within specified timeframes and budgets to a high-quality standard will be crucial.Advanced expertise in developing and maintaining IT governance, policies, procedures, frameworks, and methodologies gained through prior experience in large-scale IT environments will support success in this role. Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices in complex organisational settings, including the ability to coach and train staff and drive continuous improvement initiatives, will be highly valued.A proven ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, and strategic thinking to achieve effective outcomes is crucial, along with a commitment to fostering a culture of customer focus, respect, and ongoing improvement within all CISO functions.
