You will draw on your supply chain management skills to enhance the way we work together and deliver a collaborative relationship.As a Procurement Manager, you will work on the procurement strategy with the Senior Procurement Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of project procurement objectives and requirements. Are you interested in supporting the procurement and estimating team with tendering, market analysis, and supplier selection? If yes, check out the duties below.Duties include:Provide market intelligence, cost advice, supply chain performance management, and feedback.Support a team of procurement professionals, including training & development, staff appraisals, retention & reward, and recruitment to provide an effective procurement service for the project.Be responsible and accountable for the procurement process of subcontractors, materials, plant, and services, in accordance with the project procurement strategy and commitments.Be accountable for the provision of management information and reports in accordance with project requirements.Develop professional, robust, and effective working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure best value for the project.Essential skills and experience:Sub-contract procurementNegotiation skillsLegal & contracting law (NEC)Risk & opportunity managementProject procurement strategySupply chain planningExperience of working within the construction industry or similar and demonstrated knowledge of the interfaces and relationships that exist.Ability to manage, plan, and structure operational procurement resources of varying experience and capability.Good communication skills (verbal & written).Delivering robust procurement strategies.A measured approach to decision-making and ensuring best value procurement.Demonstrated ability to deliver added value through procurement activity.Experience of CIPS or working towards CIPS is desirable (or chartership in another discipline such as CIOB or RICS).
