Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$180,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yrDirect message the job poster from Redpath PartnersRedpath Partners Associate Director - NationalRevered Commercial industrial builder are expanding their Design Management capability and seek a Design Manager to join the Melbourne operation.Joining the Design Management team, reporting into the General Manager, this is an opportunity to contribute your construction experience to a slick construction business known for their long history of quality delivery.As a Design Manager, you will oversee the design process from the enquiry stage through to construction, ensuring designs meet client briefs, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. This role involves managing consultants, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality designs, and coordinating with various departments to deliver successful projects.Enquiry and Tender Stage Brief consultants for preliminary design and ensure designs meet project briefs. Identify opportunities for cost reductions and value management, order site surveys, and prepare necessary documentation. Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to review tender submissions and specifications.Contract Stage Manage consultant engagement, fee proposals, and ensure alignment with project budgets. Lead design meetings, issue minutes, and ensure all actions are completed. Oversee the preparation, submission, and approval of designs, including building permits and other regulatory approvals. Manage client variations, fire brigade approvals, and other project-specific requirements.Construction Stage Support the Site/Project Manager by addressing design-related questions.
