Our mission is to promote shalom (peace, well-being) and justice (right relationships) through a Christian ministry of service and advocacy with those who are oppressed, forgotten, and hurting.Position SummaryThe Kitchen Staff Partner will work in various areas of the kitchen including food prep, cleaning, inventory management, trash removal, and assisting with deliveries and pickups as assigned.Some of the Duties IncludeAssist with loading and unloading deliveries using a pallet jackAssist with inventory of dry goodsPrepare foods as assigned by the Kitchen/Cafe SupervisorMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasMonitor inventory using the FIFO methodStore ingredients according to food safety regulations and alert supervisor of low stock or near-expiry itemsEnsure cleanliness of all work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizingReport damaged or faulty equipment to the kitchen supervisorMaintain high standards of ethical and professional conductQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in culinary or hospitality industries is a plus. Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations, safety, and sanitation regulations. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
