The company offers: Commercial Advisory & Capital Advisory services focused on decarbonisation and transition in the Energy and Carbon sectors focus of this job description Corporate and institutional brokerage services A powerful software-as-a-service platform supporting the above two offerings The role and responsibilities Due to continued growth in deal flow, we have an opportunity for a senior Capital Advisory professional to join our Sydney-based team. You will be responsible for the following: Originating, leading, and executing equity capital advisory engagements, leveraging your existing established relationships with project developers, retailers & other energy service providers, as well as institutional investors Debt capital advisory experience is desired but not essential the focus for this role is on Equity Overseeing teams of 3-4 ppl providing advice on buy and sell-side capital raises linked to Renewables & Storage projects, intersecting project structure & commercialisation with deal structure Portfolio & project structure: fundamental value of the assets in terms of location, technology, size, and project configuration answering these questions in collaboration with professionals within our Commercial Advisory team, and Deal structure: what is the desired initial purchase / sale of equity, how quickly to scale up to 100% ownership / full control, what are the existing or incoming investors exit horizons Running end-to-end competitive processes to buy or sell equity capital linked to Renewables & Storage projects. These 6-12 month long processes have the following key phases: Preparation of go-to-market buy / sell-side strategy including bidder / seller identification and selection process in consultation with our clients Preparation of marketing and sales materials, including Process Letter(s), IM / Management Presentations Full transaction project & process management including appointment and management of due diligence advisors, VDR (for sell-side processes) and Q&A management For sell-side processes: Financial model development and management (including any model audit processes Negotiation of transaction documentation in conjunction with our clients and their legal advisor(s) Leading interactions with bidders / sellers on Commercial and Capital negotiations Collaborating with Clients legal and technical advisors as required during the negotiation and completion process Providing Capital Advisory expertise, where required, on Commercial Advisory-focused engagements to our Energy & Carbon sector clients Originating, selling and growing a pipeline of Client projects in Capital Advisory with a focus on Power & Carbon sectors Being a member of, and collaborating with others within, CORE Markets Senior Management Team on business development & origination, project delivery, project resourcing, and staff recruitment Building a team under you as you grow out our Capital Advisory practice! Requirements 12 years'' experience in Australia''s National Electricity Market and / or Carbon sectors from an Equity Capital Advisory PoV. Additional experience in Commercial Advisory is desired, but not essential for this role Strong project management and people leadership skills Demonstrated ability to originate and sell work, this experience having been gained in a consulting environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders To be considered for this role you must already be eligible to live and work in Australia.
