Were committed to delivering operational excellence, safety, and innovation across all our projects. As we expand, were seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help shape the next phase of our journey.The OpportunityAs COO, you will play a pivotal role in leading the operational strategy and performance of Axis. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all field and functional teams including Operations, HSET, Maintenance, and HR. Youll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable operations while fostering a high-performance and safety-first culture. Key responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:Leading operational strategy across crushing, screening, ore sorting, and civil projects;Driving performance, productivity, and cost-efficiency across all project sites;Building strong client relationships, ensuring contract retention and satisfaction;Developing and leading high-performing teams aligned with Axis values;Managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L to ensure profitability;Championing safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives; andDriving strategic initiatives and new business opportunities in line with company strategic goals and objectives.To be successful in this role, you will possess:10+ years'' senior operational leadership in mining, crushing, and/or civil industriesStrong commercial and financial acumen with experience in P&L and cost controlProven ability to lead teams and deliver on strategic goalsSound knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance, logistics, and HSE standardsExceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skillsQualifications in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)Whats On OfferExecutive-level opportunity with a dynamic and growing contractor minerPerth-based (Ascot) role, with flexible work arrangements availableAutonomy to shape operations and make a real impactWorking with a personable and relatable executive team who recognise and reward highly skilled people that contribute to the success of the businessEmployee Benefits (discounts on private health, airport parking, hotels, retail, entertainment, mobile/internet plans and more!)Permanent full-time role with an immediate start.Join Axis where your leadership will have a lasting impact.
