Job Description

Position Details Starting 2nd February 2026, a 12-month position is available for an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical and Clinical Research Fellow (0.7 EFT). The Alfred hosts one of Victorias most comprehensive gastroenterology services. The department is responsible for diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases, including the use of diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy. Clientele includes inpatients admitted electively or via the Emergency Department, as well as outpatients managed in various clinics such as General Gastroenterology, Hepatitis, Liver, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Coeliac, PEG, Hepatoma, and Endoscopy. The department prides itself on providing high-quality ambulatory care for chronic illnesses in specialised clinics. Role and Qualifications This role is that of a Fellow within the Department of Gastroenterology. The Fellow will be either in the final year of Advanced Training in Gastroenterology or already a Fellow of the RACP.
