Join to apply for the Groups and Engagement Coordinator role at Flourish Australia4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Groups and Engagement Coordinator role at Flourish AustraliaGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Flourish Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Groups and Engagement Coordinator to join our Queensland teams!The position available is:Full-time (76 hours/fortnight)Working Monday to FridayBased in either Hervey Bay or RockhamptonAttractive salary starting at $85,000 per annum + Super + Tax-Free Salary PackagingAbout the OpportunityThe Groups and Engagement Coordinator works in the community with people with lived experience of a mental health issue, supporting their access to Flourish Australia services, and in pursuing their recovery goals.As a Groups and Engagement Coordinator, you will work closely with frontline staff, partner organisations and other external stakeholders to enhance the social group projects and initiatives delivered to people accessing the service to build their capacity and independence. You will deliver and co-facilitate group programs and workshops on relevant topics, develop and maintain partnerships to increase the group program offerings, and develop strategies to increase attendance and awareness of social support groups and other initiatives.For more information about the role, please find the position description within the application.Selection CriteriaTertiary qualifications in human services or relevant field or a relevant Certificate IV in mental health related disciplineDemonstrated experience in facilitation, development, delivery and evaluation of group learning activities.Demonstrated experience in community engagement, health promotion, and building effective relationships with other service providers.Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and how providing a recovery-oriented service is of benefit to people.Understanding of public sector and community-based service systems relevant to people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and psychosocial disability and demonstrated experience navigating such systems and using capacity building and education to achieve positive results.Demonstrated strong communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, facilitate outcomes and prepare reports in clear and concise language.A qualification in training and assessment, adult learning, or related field.A personal lived experience of a mental health issue or a carer of a person with a lived experience.The BenefitsAttractive salary starting at $85,000 per annum + 11% SuperTax-Free Salary Packaging available up to $15,900Generous leave provisions including 17.5% leave loading + 2 additional days of personal leave + extra day paid leave over Christmas/New Year + paid parental leaveFamily-friendly and flexible working conditionsOpportunities for career progression, professional development and training such as Mental Health First Aid and ASISTEmployee Assistance Program for confidential wellbeing supportRegular supervision (reflective practice), ongoing 1:1 mentoring, strong team support and a comprehensive induction programInclusive initiatives such as our Rainbow Network and YarnUp for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander staffPersonal fleet pricing discounts with our preferred automotive supplierEmployee discounts at 400+ popular retailers (Woolworths, Expedia, Myer, Kmart etc)Who we areFlourish Australia is one of Australias most experienced community mental health organisations.
