Job DescriptionStevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Estimator to join our Hobart, Indiana Operations Team.The Senior Estimator is responsible for performing estimates related to a broad category within the industrial construction field, ensuring the continuity of work with current clients, acquiring new contracts and clients, and contributing to planned revenue and overhead.We offer a competitive salary based on experience, along with an excellent benefits package. This is a great career opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering quality project results.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDetermine the total costs of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.Research construction documents and analyze specifications.Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.Manage pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.Prepare estimates to meet project goals, including setting work hours, sequencing tasks, and securing materials and deals with vendors and subcontractors.Ensure relevant documents and budgets are submitted before bid deadlines.Report regularly to management and update clients on project status.Formulate contingency plans and manage risks impacting cost and time estimates.Stay updated on the latest estimating technology and industry techniques.Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide services like bid deliveries when required.Required SkillsExtensive experience as an estimator in the construction industry.Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.Strong management and negotiation skills.Ability to collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders.Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.Deep knowledge of industry practices and standards.Advanced computer skills, especially with software such as Viewpoint, P6, and INEIGHT.Willingness and ability to travel extensively for site visits.Equal Opportunity EmployerStevens Engineers & Constructors, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
