The Lake Vermont Project is located outside Dysart, in Central Queensland, and is Thiess largest project.About The RoleThe primary functions of this role include:Providing advice, training, coaching, and support to site operational teams regarding the entire employee lifecycle, including remuneration, employee engagement, policies, procedures, learning and development, employee relations, and performance management.Leading conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, disputes, and investigations.Managing and supporting workplace injuries.Supporting the broader Queensland HR team in delivering HR and IR activities for the project.Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of people strategies and initiatives.Collaborating on community, diversity, and inclusion initiatives for the project.Working closely with and supporting the Human Resources Manager as needed.Promoting a values-based approach to HR at the project.About youWe are ideally seeking candidates with:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.Experience in human resources within a mining or heavy industry environment.A relationship-based approach to human resources.Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.Excellent oral and written communication skills.The ability to build strong professional relationships quickly and influence positively.Effective problem-solving skills.A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow as a HR professional.What Thiess can do for youFlexible rosters, including a 9-day fortnight or Monday-Friday schedule with on-site and off-site weeks.Eligibility for annual remuneration reviews and discretionary bonuses.Full camp accommodation or local living allowances.Flexible work arrangements, including live local, FIFO, or DIDO options.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Health and wellbeing programs through AIA Vitality.Salary continuance insurance, salary sacrifice options, and corporate discounts.About usThiess operates in Australia, Asia, and the Americas, specializing in open-cut and underground mining.
