DescriptionTheres no pledge more important than the one we make to look after our environment, and were committed to helping you do exactly that.Join us as we strive to ensure a sustainable future for our communities and the world we live in.Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Who are we looking for?Our Environment group in Tasmania is a team of 23+ passionate professionals across two offices, who are dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for multidiscipline projects of all sizes across renewable energy, transport, resources, water, defence and other markets.We are seeking two levels of experience to join our team both an Environmental Planner AND Senior Environmental Planner - to be involved in and driving the development and continued growth of our teams capabilities in Environmental Approvals. You will deliver innovative solutions and high-quality projects for our clients, and help to build a robust, skilled, and motivated team capable of sustaining our long-term success.Our position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills to contribute or lead technical delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment, Approvals and Planning projects.Consult to internal and external stakeholders on legislation and regulations relating to Environmental Impact Assessment and planning, including keeping knowledge up to date with current legislation.Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery.Leadership (Senior) supporting our teamby mentoring and developing.Contributing to the development of comprehensive environmental management plans, strategies and reporting.What you will bring to the team:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Planning or Environmental Planning related studies (such as Environmental Science or Environmental Planning or Urban Planning).Demonstrated professional experience (ideally 5-15 years) in a consulting environment.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills - both verbal and written.Demonstrated experience in leading approvals and or planning projects.Expertise/exposure to setting strategy, design, co-ordination and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory approvals applications.Working knowledge of Tasmanian and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy is highly desirable.Eligibility to be registered/chartered with relevant professional accreditation and or bodyExperience with defence projects or ability to obtain defence clearance is highly desirable.We value wellness and flexibly, we will consider all candidates to work either part-time or full-time.Interested?
