Youll play a key role in building on the strong foundations already in placedriving continuous improvement, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring alignment with our Ethical Code of Conduct and Modern Slavery obligations across the Peter Alexander brand.Working closely with our Head of Production, you''ll build strategic supplier partnerships that balance ethical responsibility with strong commercial outcomes.What youll be doingEthical Sourcing ProgramManage the audit program with LRQA, including factory reviews and corrective actionsWork with suppliers to address critical findings and integrate local Importer suppliers into the programOversee the Production Verification Audit program and Worker Sentiment SurveysImplement external worker helplines aligned with UN grievance principlesManage factory onboarding audits and maintain EiQ data and reportingExternal Relationships & CertificationsCollaborate with licensors on Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability requirementsManage Better Cotton, FSC, and other certification relationshipsTrace Tier 2 & 3 suppliers and implement the Living Wage strategyMaintain relationships with key stakeholders like Oxfam, BWA, and APSCAReporting & AdministrationOversee completion of the Modern Slavery statement, APCO report, and ASRS reportingProvide reporting updates to ExCo, Audit & Risk committees, and the BoardManage Ethical Fashion and Oxfam Living Wage reportingSustainabilityApprove sustainability claims for product ranges and manage Better Cotton and organic cotton certificationsPartner with marketing and legal teams on sustainability initiativesTraining & EngagementDeliver ongoing Ethical Sourcing and Modern Slavery training and support to internal teams and suppliersAbout You5+ years experience in Ethical Sourcing, Sustainability, or ESG-related roles, ideally within a complex, fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Modern Slavery Act, ACCC sustainability guidelines, APCO, ASRS, and a strong interest in evolving global ESG regulations and reporting standardsProven experience managing supplier relationships across Asia, with cultural awareness and the ability to navigate regional nuances effectivelyTrack record of successful collaboration with NGOs, including involvement in sustainability or human rights-focused campaignsExperience working with global licensors and responding to their Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability requirements is highly desirableRelevant tertiary qualifications in Human Rights, Law, Sustainability, Environmental Science, International Relations, or Social Sciences preferred; equivalent practical experience in the Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability field will also be consideredPerksGenerous staff discount and access to our sample salesCentral office location based on St Kilda Rd, with direct access to the picturesque Fawkner ParkWork closely within a high performing, supportive and collaborative environmentEngage in continuous learning and development programs to enhance your skills and foster personal and professional growthBring your dog to work!Coffee lover?
