This is your invitation to rise above the possible.Job posting end date: 06/03/2025IntroductionWe are seeking an Area Sales Manager, Pumps - Australia West to join our Pumps team. You will support and develop Pumps business lines technologies portfolio and provide onsite and offsite technical sales support for Metso team and customers.You will collaborate with other business teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience. In this position, you will report to the Director, Pumps. This role is based in Karratha or Perth, with flexibility for other locations in Western Australia.What youll doResponsible for profitable Pumps PG sales growth, both capex and services, for assigned sites. Develop and identify sales opportunities, respond to RFQs, RFIs, and tenders, ensuring consistent growth year on year.Maintain a responsive approach to customers within the territory.Troubleshoot equipment and service problems with technical experts.Develop and implement growth and aftermarket retention strategies tailored to customer needs.Track and report market share and opportunity gaps, focusing on closing these gaps.Prepare pump trial proposals based on justifiable business cases.Provide accurate quarterly budgeting and forecasting for assigned sites.Maintain customer records using CRM systems.Build rapport as a trusted advisor for slurry pumping needs.Ensure first-class customer care and face-to-face interactions.Train key customer personnel in pump application and operation.Maintain knowledge of industry processes, competitors, and market influences.Who you areExperience in sales and customer relationship management; experience in Kalgoorlie Goldfields is highly regarded.Understanding of the mining industry and maintenance support experience.Result-oriented with a proactive attitude.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Willingness and ability to travel extensively for face-to-face customer engagement.Knowledge of CRM systems and strong networking skills.Development and training opportunities are available.Hiring Manager: Anthony KleinHow to joinVisit our website for more information about working at Metso, our diversity and inclusion initiatives, and to meet our people.Metso is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce.
