Our expertise in mineral materials has also led to the development of various by-products for industry, construction, and agriculture.Job SummarySupervise and coordinate activities of hourly production workers at Steel Mill locations to ensure customer obligations are met efficiently and safely.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate plant operations for proper functioning within company policies.Implement safety objectives and ensure a safe work environment.Communicate job expectations, materials, and equipment to workers, ensuring understanding and safety.Oversee training and operation of equipment like bulldozers, cranes, graders, etc.Schedule employees and equipment to meet production demands.Conduct daily safety talks with employees at shift start.Ensure accurate and timely completion of shift records and documentation.Recommend improvements for production methods, equipment, and quality.Communicate issues to Site Manager, Operations Director, or support teams.Be a team player, ready to work when required until the job is completed.QualificationsSupervisory experience in steel mill industry preferred.Ability to manage safety, operations, and documentation.Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Excellent communication skills.Additional Skills3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities.Physical and Work EnvironmentAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.Work involves exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, outdoor weather, and noise.We offer competitive benefits, including health, life, disability insurance, and a 401k plan.
