This is the ideal role for an experienced and commercially-minded legal professional who is seeking flexibility in the workplace to work autonomously within a highly collaborative and delivery-driven team.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide lifecycle front-end transactional legal support and advice across the business.Draft and negotiate commercial contracts covering some or all of: power purchase agreements, supply, design & install and EPC contracts (we expect that you may have experience of some but not necessarily all of these types of contracts) as well as contracts with Pacific Energys own suppliers and other contractual arrangements relating to the business.Identify key transactional, project and operational risks and ability to propose risk mitigation strategies to assist the business to manage the risks.Identify process and content efficiencies to improve service delivery by the in-house legal function.Provide general legal support to internal clients.Oversee and manage the engagement of external counsel.About YouLaw degree, admission as a solicitor with an unrestricted practicing certificatePractising lawyer with extensive post admission experienceExcellent drafting skills and excellent negotiation skillsSolid understanding of risk identification and mitigation strategiesAbility to provide contract and basic general legal training internallyStrong commercial acumenAdditional Benefits IncludeFlexible work arrangementsAdditional four days per annum of Personal Business LeaveOpportunity to apply for additional leave (Purchase Leave)Employee Discretionary Bonus ProgramSalary continuance insuranceRewards Gateway for our employeesEmployee Referral RewardWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERAt Pacific Energy, we celebrate the richness and depth that diversity brings.
