Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$86,108.00/yr - A$98,186.00/yrAbout the roleThis position plays a crucial role in managing the operational efficiency of the Security Branch personnel on the Urban Rail Network. The primary responsibilities include preparing weekly operational rosters in compliance with established guidelines, workplace instructions, and industrial agreements. The role requires adjusting rosters to accommodate staff absences, operational needs, and training requirements, while ensuring overtime is fairly distributed. Additionally, the roster clerk allocates staff for special events, such as line closures, and maintains accurate payroll records for Transit Officers and other Security Branch personnel, processing wages and overtime in line with the established pay cycle.In addition to payroll duties, the position involves maintaining records for annual, long service, sick, and special leave entitlements, as well as addressing any human resource issues in collaboration with the divisional Personnel Officer. The role also requires the production of periodic statistical reports, participation in the review and implementation of staff rosters, and providing general administrative support to Transit Managers. The roster clerk must also be adaptable, carrying out additional tasks within the scope of their skills, training, and competence as needed to support the operations of the Security Branch.About You!To excel in this role, you should possess:Extensive experience in preparing timesheets and multi-level staff rosters for large groups, along with a strong understanding of the interpretation and application of Industrial Awards and Agreements related to payroll and employee conditions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.Well-developed problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on identifying and addressing issues effectively.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, delivering accurate work within deadlines; proficient in data entry, information extraction, and using word processing and spreadsheet software.About UsThe Public Transport Authoritys (PTA) vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world-class public transport services and solutions.
