You will have the ability to maintain and develop strong business relationships, make quality underwriting decisions, and deliver high-quality service to our brokers. You will work on both Mid-Market and Large Corporate Property Insurance policies and be responsible for underwriting key broking partners Property business, including making underwriting recommendations and decisions within the Authority framework.You should have demonstrated knowledge of Property and the insurance market, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven sales ability, and a passion for customer service and relationship building. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, proactive, and professional individual to join our established Perth Property underwriting team and contribute to the growth of our WA portfolio.Key responsibilities and duties will include (but not be limited to):Review of Property risks and complete all necessary underwriting duties.Manage a portfolio of mid-market and larger, more complex Property accounts.Procure new business opportunities to ensure targets are met.Complete premium calculations for new business and renewals through the rating systems and guidelines.Issue and review policy wordings as required.Identify referral triggers according to HDI Global SE, Australia Underwriting Guidelines, and local branch authority, escalating as necessary with recommendations.Operate within the delegated underwriting license and guidelines.Collaborate with HDIs Risk Engineers to improve clients risk profiles by discussing and following up on risk recommendations.Work with the team to ensure business goals are met.Develop and foster existing and new broker relationships, along with client relationships.Skills and Experience:Preferably a minimum of 5 years Property underwriting experience, with a focus on the Perth market.Experience underwriting mining risks is an advantage.Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven track record of delivering results and fostering relationships.High numeracy and computer literacy (Excel and MS Office).HDI offers a values-based dynamic working environment, flexible work arrangements, and a learning framework to support your ongoing development.
