At the same time, shaping a clear focus on compliance training and the skills and knowledge required to service our customers effectively is equally important as we strive to achieve our purpose of giving customers real choice.This new role will involve building a strategic and strong governance approach to support how we shape and deploy our efforts to help our people learn, grow, and thrive today and into the future.As we evolve our end-to-end workforce needs access to just-in-time learning in the flow of work, in the future, we will need to be creating and curating more digital-first learning. This means more learning at scale via video and webinars to reach our geographically diverse employee population.In addition to shaping the future, this important role will need to help us think differently around both corporate and frontline compliance training and review our end-to-end induction training.Come help us build the way forward, to help our people, customers, and community thrive today and into the future.Day-to-day responsibilitiesImprove learning governance, transparency, and our approach to customer-centred compliance training for all frontline teams (contact centre, stores, etc.).Partner with our Strategic Workforce Planning Team and the business to shape future-focused learning design and deployment approaches aligned with our strategy.Design and manage annual Business Unit planning and consultation to shape Learning and Capability priorities aligned with the annual planning process. Manage a geographically diverse team of learning and capability professionals, helping them develop new skills and adopt new ways of working.Partner with other senior leaders across the Leadership, Culture, and Development Team to build good governance and partnering practices.Partner with the Transformation office to develop capability deployment roadmaps in line with key milestones and funding cycles.What makes you a great fit?Extensive experience in a highly regulated industry, applying understanding of adult learning, learning design technology, with a practical and pragmatic implementation approach.Experience partnering with Senior Leadership Teams to identify and shape learning, capability, and development interventions.Ability to pragmatically partner with P&C Leadership Team to shape and build solutions, reports, and proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve learning and capability.Demonstration of ability to gather data to support designing and deploying new tools and digital learning materials.Experience leading and inspiring geographically diverse learning and capability teams.Strategic communications planning and input of key messaging where relevant.Developing relationships with BU-based VPs and Heads to map learning and capability plans.Managing external partners and vendors to meet budget, risk, and compliance standards.Perks we love at Optus3 days in the office, 2 days remote with flexible hours to suit!Inclusive paid parental leave, up to 16 weeks for the primary caregiver.Access to resources, webinars, and support via the Parents at Work portal for all employees.Own your growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator-led learning catalogue.Connect at work through employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans, Yarn Network, Wellbeing Network, and Young Professionals.Vibrant campus life with various facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post office.Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon services.Keen to see what its really like to work at Optus?
