Achieve Group is recruiting for a Sheeting Mill Operator in Townsville. Position Overview Join us as a Machine Operator in a continuous production environment, operating machinery and working with Purlin products. You will be involved in the manufacturing process using 100% Australian-made steel, playing a key role in delivering quality products to our customers on time. Responsibilities Assist with setting up, adjusting, and operating machinery for producing steel beams, roofing, and other steel roofing products. Learn to read and interpret detailed orders and drawings for production. Monitor product quality to ensure finished products meet specifications. Support other departments as needed. Operate a forklift (Forklift Ticket required). Candidate Qualities Interest or exposure to manufacturing environments. Positive attitude and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to safety and wellbeing, caring for others. Minimum Requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment medical. Clear drug and alcohol screening. Forklift Ticket and relevant experience (preferred). Ability to stand for long periods. Own transportation to work. Awareness of surroundings and adherence to safety practices. Work Schedule and Benefits The role offers a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate, with potential for growth within the company. Shifts are Monday to Thursday, 6 am - 2:30 pm, and Friday 12 pm - 6 pm, with some flexibility. Once trained, the role may include a rotating morning/afternoon roster.
