It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.The Steward, reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor will become an important part of our pre-opening team. This role offers the opportunity to be a part of a team that will ensure seamless operation of our Food & Beverage outlets both front and back of house.A few of your responsibilitiesManage the use and storage of chemicals at all timesManage waste materials ensuring recycling is adhered toMaintain and operate operational equipment including dishwasher, utensils and glasswareAssisting in set up and preparation for events and banquetsWhat we are looking forCan- do team attitude whilst upholding the star valuesSound knowledge of or ability to learn food safety regulationsFlexible availability to work on a rotating roster that can include early mornings and overnight shifts.Self-motivation and flexibility to work individually and as a team as requiredAbility to focus and prioritise several tasks.About youExperience in kitchen environments is desirable although not essential, we are looking for motivated candidates who can work within a team environment. In this role you will learn and develop an understanding of OH&S standards and take pride in supporting the teams to ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy. The role of the Steward is integral to the team and their success in providing an exceptional guest experience.Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our food and beverage operations at the Star Brisbane.
