You will partner with service participants with a focus on offering capacity building support; specifically to assist in strengthening a participants ability to design, manage, and ultimately control their supports, recognising each persons inherent ability to exercise choice and control.This is a role in which you will be helping participants develop relationships, build skills and establish support networks in line with their own goals to ensure they are fully supported and empowered on their journey towards recovery.Please click here to download a copy of the position description to see further details relating to this role.Wellways is seeking two dedicated Support Coordinators/Recovery Coaches to join our team on a part-time basis (4 days per week). We have one ongoing permanent position available and one fixed-term role until 5th of June 2026.About The ProgramConsumer Directed Services (CDS) refers to services which are led by and funded by individual consumers. This includes services such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, iCare, Insurances and brokers. These services provide support, care and access to services and technology for Australians living with disabilities as well as their families and carers.To be successful in this role, you will need:Certificate IV in preferred course, or aboveDemonstrated experience in working with people living with a disability or mental healthAvailable to participate in out of hours activities, as required, to deliver on key role requirements and outcomesThe right to work in Australia and a current, valid Driver''s LicenseSatisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check (Employee) and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtainNDIS Worker Orientation Module CertificateWhy us?Wellways are a team of approximately 2000 staff and 150 volunteers across 93 sites providing a range of programs, services and supports to people right across Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.
