INAUGURAL BOARD - Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC)Lead the circular economy revolution Join the inaugural board of ARRC Gold Coast and help shape the future of sustainable waste management.Be part of a groundbreaking initiative that will divert up to 97% of the Citys waste from landfill through one of Australias most advanced resource recovery precincts.The City of Gold Coast (City) is the second largest local government in Australia and is forecast to run out of landfill capacity in the mid 2030s. In response, the City has embarked on the implementation of the Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC) strategic project.Council voted to establish a Controlled Entity ARRC Gold Coast. The controlled entity will be responsible for the project development, delivery and operations of the ARRC precinct (except for the proposed sewage treatment plant and related assets) and be accountable for the environmental and commercial performance of the assets.Board compositionThe board will have up to four remunerated independent non-executive directors.The board will also be made up of an ex-officio member including the Mayor of the City of Gold Coast, the CEO of the City of Gold Coast, a nominated City of Gold Coast Councilor and an Executive General Manager from within the City of Gold Coast.Board vacanciesThe ARRC inaugural board is seeking up to four non-executive directors.Directors may reside outside of Australia.Term of appointments and commitment2-4 years.
