The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions.The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmanias largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold dor.It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.The mine has a strong future, with extensive exploration activities which have continued to grow the resource and require mine planning beyond 10 years of continued operation.Charge Up OperatorKey Accountabilities (however not limited to):Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor you will ensure that all aspects of operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with Company and Legislative standards and procedures.This is a permanent position offered on a 7:7 roster.Responsibilities include (however not limited to):Following shift plan instructions as directed by your supervisor, ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all timesCharging development headings and production stopes.Handling and transporting explosive materials in a safe manner.Working collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets are met.Safe operation of an Integrated Tool CarrierReal time communication with Mine Control of all physical measures and delaysCompletion and submission of all required shift reports and documentation to the Shift SupervisorConducting a thorough, timely and informative end of shift handover with your cross shiftAttend and actively participate in all required site and MMG training courses and meetingsEnsure that all assigned vehicles are operated in a safe and clean condition at all timesUsing all provided equipment safety and within its design capability and purposeCarrying out effective high quality workplace inspections, ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures.Reporting of all incidents and hazards to your Shift Supervisor immediatelyAbout You:Shot Firers licence3+ years experience in a similar roleHold a DGSC or willing to apply for oneExperience with working in production and development crews or operating in this environmentwith an extensive knowledge off underground mining equipment and techniques.Ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments.Complete and carry out comprehensive and detailed end-of-shift communicationsA willingness to partake in Pre-Employment Medical and D&A Screen and Background checks.Hold a current Working at Heights CertificateUnwavering commitment to safety and proven history of safe work practisesWhat we offerA safety-first cultureA workplace that fosters diversity and inclusiveness, and supports our people with the systems, skills and behaviours required to live our values.Family friendly rostersReward and Recognition SchemeBonus'' including short term incentive programCorporate Discount Programs & Novated Leasing Utilize a range of discount programs (health insurance, travel).Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that includes free confidential counselling, wellbeing services.Who we areFounded in 2009, MMGs vision is to create a leading international mining company for a low carbon future.We mine to create wealth for our people, host communities and shareholders with an ambition to grow and diversify our resource, production and value, by leveraging Chinese and International expertise.MMG has a global presence, owning and developing copper, zinc and other base metals projects across Australia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Peru and Botswana.Our aim is to create a workplace that encourages diversity and inclusion and supports our people to grow.We are guided by our values; think safety first, respect each other, work together, do what we say, and we want to be better.Headquartered in Melbourne, we are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx 1208) with an international shareholder base.As a company, MMG strives for the best in safety, environmental protection, production standards and overall operational excellence.
