The Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance branch provides process, systems and services to support the department to meet its responsibilities under health and safety laws.About the Role:We are looking for someone with strong health and safety knowledge, and thorough experience with investigations. Our successful candidate will:establish and enhance the OHS investigation frameworks and governance structures to drive quality outcomes.lead and oversee OHS investigations undertaken into reportable and notifiable incidents, complex/high risk incidents and safety processes.provide expert guidance, instruction and support to department employees and managers on best practice incident investigation technique and processes.identify risks and make recommendations following complex workplace incidents.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will:have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships at all levels both in writing and in person.have a proactive can-do attitude, with the ability to problem solve on the go.be flexible and comfortable working in a fluid environment.have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesbe experienced in utilising the M365 platform applications, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Loop, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.To learn more about the skills you will need to succeed in this role, please read the position description attached.The role is based in Melbourne CBD with the expectation of working in metropolitan and country locations as required to provide appropriate mentoring and support to line managers to ensure quality investigations are undertaken.Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
