A great opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Lavarack Barracks Townsville QLD. The Trade Assistant is responsible for the assistance of maintenance activities including tyre fitting on a vast range of exciting Defence vehicles and assets. $31.64 an hour plus Super Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About the role Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshopAssisting in maintenance and storeroom tasksMaintaining the work area in a neat and orderly mannerOperating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do soAbout you Hold a current Drivers License (C class, manual, open)Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervisionAdditional experience would also be highly desirableTyre fitting experienceHigh Risk Work license with competencies in Forklift desirableComputer Literacy using Microsoft office products (especially Excel)You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
