About The OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Technical Writer to join our Hunter Class Frigate program (HCFP) on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will need to relocate to Melbourne, VIC or Adelaide, SA. Working across all aspects of Maritime Technical Publications, you will be responsible for driving and leading a team of Technical Writers / Authors to deliver innovative technical publication solutions and writing activities in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project technical, schedule, and cost goals. Visit our website to learn about the Hunter Class Frigate program: Key responsibilities include: Lead a team of Technical Publications Authors who will deliver technical writing solutions to the HCF program. Participate in designing the architecture required to support the development and delivery of the technical publications. Participate in activities to define and implement Support Engineering objectives. Work closely with external and internal stakeholders and peers within the project to understand their requirements and collaborate effectively. Establish effective communication mechanisms to ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed about ILS''s strategy, plans, products, and services. Be able to travel both domestically and internationally to support the Project''s strategic outcomes. About YOU Diploma or formal qualification in Technical Writing or equivalent experience. Experience leading teams of technical authors/writers. Proven experience in producing Maritime Technical Publications. Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
