Please note that the successful candidate will still need to be located in Canberra.The RoleAs the Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial processing, as well as performing all payroll functions. Key responsibilities include:Prepare and process fortnightly payrollProcess end-of-month, including the reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, manual journals, and ensuring all invoices are entered and allocated correctlyOversee accounts payable and receivableAssist in the preparation of BAS, PAYG, and any other tax obligationsUpdate team policies and procedures with direction from the Finance ManagerProvide guidance and support to other departments on financial mattersThe Ideal PersonYoure a bookkeeper with ideally 5 years of experience, known for your meticulous attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate work. You might be coming from a bookkeeping role at a firm, where youve supported multiple clients across finance and payroll functions, or from a commercial or not-for-profit organisation.
