Healius provides quality healthcare services that are easily accessible and cost efficient, while supporting the coordination and continuity of quality patient care.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Molecular Infectious Scientist to conduct and report molecular diagnostic tests for detecting and characterising infectious diseases using advanced molecular techniques including PCR analysis.As the Molecular Infectious Scientist, you will become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team who are responsible for: Perform Infectious Molecular testing using various techniques, including PCR. Verification of results and provide comprehensive reports to assist with clinical decisions. Ensure the precision and accuracy of all infectious molecular tests conducted, to assist with clinical decisions. Document and interpret test results accurately and promptly. Perform regular maintenance and/or basic troubleshooting on instrumentation, equipment and manual techniques. Participate in regular training for relevant techniques and instrument operation and engage in ongoing departmental competency programs and external quality assurance programs Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, including test results, quality control data, and equipment maintenance logs.
