This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career with a dynamic and growing company, which boasts a great and unique culture: "Be Like No Other".About the RoleFIFO 2:1 RosterMultiple roles, 6-month project with ongoing pipelineA critical and diverse role working with a supportive teamResponsibilitiesExperience in verification of budget quantities is highly desirable.Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants; monitor contract performance, variations, and claims as necessary.Provide guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to contract requirements.Prepare, issue, negotiate, and settle claims and variations with clients in collaboration with project and commercial managers.Ensure purchase orders are appropriate for the goods or services and incorporate main contract requirements on a ''back-to-back'' basis where appropriate.Participate in reviews to identify and implement mitigation strategies for contract risks impacting project performance.Assist in assessing contract risks during tender preparation and project changes.Support project and tender teams with strategic commercial advice for project delivery.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and meet their expectations, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.Assist in managing finance, contract, payroll, and procurement teams to promote best practices and continuous improvement.Develop and analyze commercial reports as required.Skills and ExperienceBachelors degree in Commerce/Business or related discipline preferred.10+ years proven experience in a similar role.Understanding of contract law, business ethics, and industry contractual principles.Experience in contract management within construction or similar disciplines.Negotiation and management of construction, subcontract, and supplier contracts.Proven commercial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, cash flow, and financial reporting.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze complex issues, make strategic decisions, and solve problems effectively.Ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams.Strong time management skills to handle competing priorities and deadlines.Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (PRONTO desirable).BenefitsSIMPEC offers opportunities for career development in a safe, collaborative, and dynamic environment, working with passionate industry professionals.If this sounds like you, apply now!
