You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we work with across our programs.What you''ll be doingDeveloping, implementing and regularly reviewing child safeguarding policies, procedures and practices to ensure best-practice standards are metProviding training and support to staff, volunteers and partner organisations on child safeguardingMonitoring compliance with child protection legislation and regulationsManage a team to deliver high quality programs to vulnerable children and their families in WADevelop and execute a child referral process including engaging with families and support agenciesMaintaining detailed records and preparing regular reports on programs and child safeguardingWhat we''re looking forSignificant experience in a child safeguarding or child protection role, preferably within the community services sectorStrong understanding of child protection legislation, regulations and best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholdersHighly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to engage and manage a teamRelevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services or a related fieldWhat we offerAt Thriive WA, we are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment that empowers our employees and volunteers.
