Senior Processing Officer (APS5 equivalent)Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Allygroup is seeking a Senior Processing Officer (APS5 equivalent) to join a Federal Government agency in Canberra. The agency is looking for candidates with experience in managing and processing subpoenas, as well as experience leading teams in a processing environment. This is a 6-month secondment contract opportunity with the potential for extension.Allygroup is particularly interested in candidates seeking an entry-level APS role and eager to build a long-term career within the Federal Government. We want candidates who are willing to do processing work and support a dedicated legal team with a positive culture.Candidates must be Australian citizens, based in Canberra, and available full-time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcessing and managing a high volume of cases such as subpoenas, court orders, summonses, and information requests.Operating under and applying the Privacy Act 1988 and other relevant legislation in processing work.Interrogating departmental databases to retrieve requested information.Preparing information in a clear format for the applicant and drafting release letters for approval.Liaising with requesting agencies and stakeholders to clarify information and ensure legislative compliance.Responding to Commonwealth information orders under the Family Law Act 1975.Providing guidance and support to team members and assisting leadership with various tasks.Supporting agency staff required to give evidence in court or tribunal proceedings.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience applying legislation to decision-making and processing.Leadership experience within a processing environment.High attention to detail.Effective written and oral communication skills.Ability to follow established processes and procedures.Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.Additional QualitiesHigh integrity, probity, and professional standards.Excellent time management and prioritization skills.Sound judgment and analytical skills.Ability to perform well under pressure.How to ApplyClick the Apply for this job button or send your resume and cover letter to recruitment@allygroup.com.au, expressing your interest.
