Ventia, with its long-standing and successful relationship with Defence, is seeking an experienced Grounds Attendant Team Leader to lead and manage the Grounds Maintenance services at RAAF Base Darwin. This is a fantastic ongoing full-time position within the Lands Management Team, offering opportunities to step up into a leadership role while playing a vital part in the continued success of our operations.Key Responsibilities:Conduct job safety checks before work begins and lead tool box talks to ensure safety protocols are followed.Oversee the daily scheduling and activities of the Lands Management team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.Service equipment before use, and operate and maintain machinery in line with operator manuals and maintenance schedules.Maintain and upkeep gardens and lawns as per directives, and support general labouring tasks in grounds, building, and plumbing areas.Regularly clean vehicles, machinery, and tools used during service delivery to ensure top performance.Skills & Experience Required:Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role/environment.Computer literacy is essential.Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence.Experience with Mobile Plant/Tractors is highly desirable.You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions.Why Join Ventia?Growth Potential:Ventia offers an environment that encourages you to step up into leadership roles and grow within the organization.About VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
