Situated within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, CMERC is home to the worlds largest seagrass nursery and with major programs in oyster, mangrove, inshore coral and macroalgal habitat restoration.Based at CMERCs world-class waterfront facility in Gladstone, you will lead and contribute to impactful applied research across marine ecology, wetland and benthic ecosystems, and climate adaptation, aligned with CMERCs multidisciplinary programs. You will secure and manage external funding, publish influential research, and mentor emerging scientists. In this role, youll join a dynamic and friendly team of marine scientists and restoration experts, delivering innovative, evidence-based approaches to coastal and marine sustainability.
