We partner with all areas of the business to develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies that innovatively deliver sustainable value to our customers.About The RoleReporting into the Head of Supply Chain Procurement, this role is responsible for all aspects of category spend, supporting the development and execution of category best practices for Coles categories, and delivering on key programs of work pertaining to the Logistics category.This includes warehousing activities, international operations, consolidation centres, contracts operating within including labour hire, catering, forklifts and maintenance, and eCommerce activity including Coles Online, Uber, Door Dash and more.Logistics experience isnt essential to this role; the ability to adapt behaviourally across a broad range of stakeholders, work at pace, be pragmatic in decision making, keenness to learn and upskill, possess a high level of intelligence and commercial acumen, as well as thoughtful and supportive leadership skills will set you up for success in this role.You will alsoEstablish the category vision, setting and communicating the strategic directionManaging internal & external resources effectively to support, develop and execute category plans that produce the desired business resultsSupport the sourcing strategy definition, deployment and stakeholder alignmentOwner and responsible for the development of total cost of ownership strategy and the relevant category and sub-category strategic plans and prioritiesIdentify opportunities and realise value through effective use of strategic cost management tools (e.g. should-cost analysis, e-auctions)Track forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Coles Value Tracking Process for categories in scopeDirect Category Managers throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process, actively engaging with stakeholders throughoutAbout You And Your SkillsSuccess in this role will be achieving or exceeding annual efficiency targets set against category plans, achieved through commercial dealings with suppliers and internal customers.
